Hi! I just got back from my Taiwan trip 3 days ago. It was a 6 days trip, from 1st April to 6th April!I thought that since it's already April, it won't be so as cold as the previous time we went (Dec 11), but to my dismay, it was still really cold! Whenever the wind blows, I'll start shivering like mad haha!
The previous time we went to Taiwan, it was with a tour, so everything was pretty much planned for us. This time round, I wanted free and easy because I wanted to be able to wake up at whatever time I want and also to shop for all 6 days! Was a little paranoid too cos' I was scared that we would end up having nothing to do for all 6 days, so I googled about some nice places to shop at, etc. before the trip!
Day 1: Singapore to Taipei
Reached the airport at 6am, checked in immediately and headed to the departure hall for some food+shopping! Shared subway with bb because there would be food provided onboard so we didn't wanna eat too much, I loooove in-flight meals hehe.

First pic I took for this trip, looking so restless, but excited nevertheless!
Bb's mom choosing her cosmetics!
At Changi airport! I took quite a no. of pics of my legs, at different location. Siao one.We took Cathay Pacific so it means that there'll be a stopover at Hong Kong, and we have to take another plane to Taiwan from there! Quite troublesome imo, but I love CP's inflight meals!!
At Hongkong airport waiting for our flight to Taipei!
And... another picture of my feet at HK airport hehe.Boarded the flight, Taipei here we come!! :DWe booked our travel tix from a travel agency, so there was someone waiting for us at the airport to send us back to our hotel at Xi Men Ding. I read online that we can actually purchase SIM cards at the airport for 3G access + phone calls but our flight was delayed, so we didn't want to waste time queuing for the card, we decided to purchase it at Xi Men Ding instead!
When we reached our hotel, we got changed and headed to XMD straight, because our hotel was just a 5 mins walk from XMD :) BB bought the SIM card at NT300, approx 15SGD for a 5 days usage. We needed it to contact his mom in TW because he forgot to activate his data roaming!
Took a cab over to some place his dad suggested and had dinner at Shin Yeh! Yummy max! After dinner, we went back to XMD and had a walk around! Ended the day early because my leg was hurting me, might be the weather, too cold alr hehe! On the way back to our hotel, we stopped over at 7-11 and got some milk tea too, they have 7-11 everywhere!
Day 2: Taipei
For the second day, we went to Bei Tou to find bb's mom and dad! Because we slept like pigs, his parents actually went out earlier than us.
On the Metro to Bei Tou! So funny cos' the uncle beside bb decided to join us for a pic lol.
Because it was after 10am, the complimentary hotel breakfast has already ended when we were all prepared to head out, so when we reached Bei Tou, I was too hungry I just told bb to just head to Mac for brunch! Same price as SG's Mac though, but their menu was diff, I ordered a one piece chicken, quite nice! :)
At Xin Bei Tou station, looking so obiang carrying the plastic bag!
After meeting up with his parents, we headed to Dan Shui, Tie Dan heaven :) My sis and mom told me to get 'as many packets of tie dan as possible' cos they're both tie dan loverrrrs!
But before we went to get Tie Dan, his dad suggested we head to Yu Ren Ma Tou for some sight-seeing! Took the bus for NT15 each (~SGD0.70)!
On the way to Yu Ren Ma Tou~
Big feet on the bus lol.Yu Ren Ma Tou! Does it look very cold? Because this place is the hottest in TW imo lol, I was sweating when we alighted from the bus!
Crazy bb wanted us to cross the bridge but I was too lazy I rejected him, he was so pissed, kept saying I was an old auntie!! :@

Ru Lou Fan! This was actually purchased in 7-11, really cheap and yums! NT45 (~SGD2)
After we got back to the Metro station, his mom and dad headed back to the hotel to rest whereas bb and I continued on to go get tie dan for my mom and sis!
Yay tie dans!!!! Expensive little eggs lol NT90/packet (~SGD4.50)
When we reached the shop selling tie dan, we actually noticed that there was a loooong street furtherdown and it was filled with people! So we decided to follow the crowd too hehe! Gotten a pair of NT100 (~SGD5) sunglasses for myself, because I left mine in the hotel!
I went on quite a shopping craze in Dan Shui, little did I know there were so many little shops selling really cheap and cute items!!
Happygurl! So many iphone cases, little soft toys, etc!We actually went into a Museum and I forgot the name, something something buo wu guan! All the weird weird stuff inside, I think entrance fee was NT65 (~SGD3) or something like that.
Criminal Tay, tsk tsk tsk.
Who the hell wears sunglasses while taking a mugshot hahaha! Before heading in! :)My feeeeet againnnnnn.
Long neck tortoise!
I actually got freaked out quite a no. of times cause there was a lot of weird looking animals in the museum! Bb was the one taking the pics cos I was too disgusted lol.
This criminal shocuteeeee!!!Look whose stronger?
After escaping from prison I got attacked by a King Cobra LOL.More weird animalzzzz~Chicken with 4 legs! Not-so-freaky rabbit! It's just realllly huge, and not alive. So I wasn't scared of this haha.
Bb with his best friend! Mr. Tortoise!
More shopping! I bought 2 of the hello kitty glasses I was wearing for my nieces, Min and En! :) Thought they'd love it bcos little girls love HK, right!? :D
There was this NT19 shop (~SGD0.90) shop there too, bought a few notebooks for my sis!
Since Shi Lin night market is just a few stops away from Dan Shui, we headed there after our shopping at Dan Shui! So much yummy fooooood, and so cheap too! We ate takoyaki, the famous ji pa, and drank really yummy milk tea! Ahhhh I'd like to head there now please! :(
Headed back to our hotel afterwards, and to XMD again! If I'm not wrong, our dinner was the famous Ah Zhong Mian Xian!
Day 3: Taipei - Gao Xiong - Taipei
Bb's dad was planning on heading to Gao Xiong, so we woke up real early, took a cab to the train station and bought tickets for Gao Xiong. It was an hour ride there!
On the high speed train towards Gao Xiong!
Took some time to write down what I've spent for the past few days too :)Took quite a no. of pics with bb too! It was really funny cos one minute the train will be in the tunnel and the next minute the train will be out of the tunnel and they have like sooo many tunnels we were in and out of darkness so fast, I had to hold my pose there till we were out of the tunnel to take pics bcos' the picture will look brighter and so much nicer with the natural sunlight!
Trying to work it LOLOL.'Catching' the sunlight to take a pic! We bought yummy spaghetti and milk tea(again) from the 7-11 to eat on the train! Their 7-11 microwaved food is so yummy!!Told bb to take a pic of me eating, and this is what I get:

WTF?
Beautiful scenery!
When we reached Gao Xiong, we were actually planning to just shop at the mall next to the train station but a taxi driver approached us and his parents decided to let him bring us around Gao Xiong instead!
We went for seafood, and after that he drove towards a forest! I was so worried we'd have to climb the mountains LOL but it was in fact a short walk, to a tunnel which was reallllly windy, and at the end of the tunnel we'd be able to see the ocean!

Tadang! In the tunnel, my white t-shirt was glowing!
The driver brought us to their local market afterwhich, and then to a shopping mall next!
I love this pic! Found this setting on my cam, such a noob I don't know how to use my cam functions! Had cold stone too, for the very first time! :)
Looks so yummy please! Before, and...After!Bought tai yang bing for my dad too from the mall! :)
There was a petshop in the mall, and the puppies there were all extremely adorable!
This little pup was actually eating it's own poop! Aiyoyo!Such a cutie posing for my camera! :DThis dog was growling at bb haha! Kidding, it was yawning! Too cute!Headed to their national park afterwards!
So cute their trees, cut into different shapes! :)A temple at the end of the park.
Took some pics for bb and his parents, and after strolling around for some time, bb was like: "where's your phone?!" We searched in his bag, in the taxi, everywhere! My phone was nowhere to be found! I was actually losing hope and I was thinking that I would never be able to find it. The park was flooded with china tourists...
I took bb mom's phone and started calling my phone, I don't know why I was calling because I already knew that I wouldn't be able to get back my phone, who wouldn't want a phone, who would want to pick up my call?
It was really amazing but someone actually picked up the call. It was a police officer from a nearby police station! I was sooooooo speechless, a Taiwanese couple actually picked my phone and returned it to the police station :'( Another reason for me to love Taiwan, the people there are soooo kind hearted and honest and everything nice :'(
We headed back to Taipei after that, because it took some time for us to head to the police station to retrieve my phone and all so we didn't had much time left in Gao Xiong.
Had our dinner at Ah Mao's Risotto cafe!
Who is Ah Mao? A golden retriever at the entrance of the cafe! Couldn't resist stepping in!
Ah Mao!
Day 4: TaipeiWu Fen Pu day! My senior actually suggested this place to shop at, and I gotten quite a number of clothes from WFP! Thing is, I was too lazy to walk so we ended up walking out of WFP within an hours' time :(
We headed to the famous Hu Xu Zhang Lu Rou Fan! Yummy max max max, and cheap too!
It was getting late so we decided to head back to XMD! Saw this really skilled street artist who is really pro at cutting human face cut-outs. Decided to have a go because we've actually passed by him a couple times while shopping in XMD, and I was really tempted to do it!
Me looking really serious, he told me not to laugh and to also remain my facial expression lolBecause the last few days were spent shopping for MY stuff, so it was time for bb to shop for his! :)
He bought this Adidas t-shirt!Happily waiting while he shops~ lol. So long as there's seat for me, I'm fine.We randomly walked into this shop and it was selling his fav brand, Undefeated! Lucky him because the shop was having a sale too! :)Day 5: Taipei
Last second day already! We woke up really late, and as usual his mom and dad is already out shopping! We headed to Taipei101 to look for them, and had Saizeriya for brunch!
If I'm not wrong, we decided to activate the 3G because we still have a lot of credit left in the SIM card and we didn't wanna waste it!
Charging my phone with the portable charger so that we can surf the net! :)
Met up with bb's parents, and they headed back to the hotel while we dropped off at Zhong Xiao Dun Hua station. Bb did some research on his phone and apparently there is a DC outlet somewhere nearby the station.
We walked from Zhong Xiao Dun Hua station all the way to the next station, Zhong Xiao Fu Xing station! Quite pro right, we were actually walking aimlessly thoughout lol.

We finally found the DC shop, and BB got his pair of shoes there!
For our 5th day in Taipei, it was a rainy rainy day :( We saw Haagen Daaz while walking back to the metro station, so we had some ice cream while waiting for the rain to stop. When we reached the station, I asked around and found out that we can actually take a bus from the station to Rao He night market! And so we did!
It was raining so not all the stalls were open :( However I did grab some great buys there! Bought a pair of sandals for sis for NT90 (SGD 4.5) and another box of tai yang bing for dad! Saw the NT19 shop at Rao He night market and I managed to buy some really cheap stuff for sis!
Since Rao He night market is at Hou Shan Pi station, we decided to have dinner at Hu Xu Zhang Lu Rou Fan again! So glad we went there because bb love the food there too!
We headed back to the hotel after dinner :)
Day 6: Taipei - Singapore
We woke up real early for the hotel complimentary breakfast, and then headed back to the room to pack and get ready for the driver to pick us up to the airport!
I didn't take much pics on our way back because I was really tired! And that's the end of my TW trip! I'd definitely go back for sure! :)
